I have been married since August 2007 with two kids. A boy that is 2 and a girl that is 4. I am currently attending Saint Leo University Center for Online Learning through the eArmyU program. I have about 19 credits completed so far. In the future I plan on earning my commission as an officer in the U.S. Army.
I joined the Michigan National Guard in 2002. I attended basic training and AIT at Fort Benning in 2003. Upon completion I deployed to Sinai, Egypt in support of the Multinational Force and Observers mission. Six months after returning I was again deployed to Camp Habbaniyah, Iraq for 12 months. I switched to active duty in early 2007 and was stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas. I did a deployment to Baghdad, Iraq with 2nd Brigade, 1st Infantry Division. While deployed I submitted my volunteer Recruiter packet. I was accepted and I am scheduled to attend Recruiter and Retention School in mid 2010.
My awards include; Combat Infantryman Badge, Army Commendation Medal w/ 2OLC, Army Achievement Medal w/2OLC, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal w/ 2 campaign stars, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal w/ "M' device & numeral "2", NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon w/ numeral "2", Multinational Force and Observers Ribbon, Michigan Broadsword Service Medal, Michigan State War on Terrorism Ribbon, Michigan Outside United States Service Ribbon, and Army Meritourious Unit Commendation.
